Download ScintPack SA
ScintPack runs from DOS, Windows 3.1x, Windows NT and Windows 95, in standard VGA 640 x 480 16 color mode.
Download the zip file below, then unzip it in a temporary directory. Run the install.bat file, e.g. type "install c" (without the colon) to install ScintPack on drive C.
Download ScintPack SA v 3.03
Install will NOT alter your autoexec.bat or config.sys files.
Highlight any menu or command line function, then strike F1 for help on that selection.
For Windows installation, Icons and PIF files are located in directory :\SPSA\UTIL
To setup ScintPack to run from DOS make a text file named sa.bat as follows:
cd\spsa
sa.com
cd\
To setup ScintPack to run from Windows 3.1x or Windows NT:
- From the Program Manager
- Select or create a program group for DOS applications
- Select File, New, Program Item
- Description = "ScintPack"
- Command Line = "drive letter:\spsa\util\spe.pif"
- Working Directory = "drive letter:\spsa"
- Shortcut Key, not needed
- Select Change Icon, Browse
- Locate "drive letter:\spsa\util\chromat2.ico"
- Select the OK button until all the dialog boxes close
An icon should appear in the program group selected; double click it to start the program.
To setup ScintPack to run from Windows 95:
- Select Start, Run, Browse
- Locate the SPSA directory
- Select Sa.com
- Open, OK
ScintPack should start in a DOS like window which can then be maximized.
Download version 3.03 Upgrade
The ScintPack Upgrade file should be unzipped to a floppy diskette or temporary directory, where it will expand to UPGRADE.BAT and 303.EXE. The Upgrade will only affect the executable and prompt files; it is not a complete installation!
Type "upgrade c" (without the colon) to upgrade ScintPack on drive C.

This upgrade corrects numeric formatting in Histogram mode and applies the User Factor to Range, Mean and Standard Deviation table entries.

The following data files are zip files and should be unzipped to the \SPSA\DATA directory, or unzipped then Imported from the Disk Utilities Menu.
Liquid Chromatography Data
Two data traces, one C-14 radio labeled, one UV absorption. Several good peaks on the UV trace with a rising baseline.
Incinerator Stack Emission Monitoring
Four data traces; SO2 in ppm , NOX in ppm, CO in ppm , O2 in %. 1 min / data point. A stoker periodically delivers a charge of solid waste fuel to the boiler. The emissions levels vary as a function of fuel content, water, temperature and combustion control parameters.

Histogram of Radioactivity Count Rate
Demonstrates the Poisson Distribution approximating the Normal Distribution. Files with the .Sxx extension are smoothed using the weighted coefficient smoothing function in ScintPack.
